14 Reminders that You Are Loved

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and you may or may not be feeling the love in the air. If you are on the latter side, I want you to remember that no matter what your life might be looking like right now, you are loved

 

I’m not about to get preachy up in here, but if you do or don’t know the Lord, the one thing you should know is that God’s love is unconditional, meaning He loves you fully as you are right this second and every second that you’ve been on this Earth. I know if you don’t know the Lord that might seem a little weird or crazy, but it’s the absolute truth. 

 

The following verses are reminders and promises from the Bible that God loves us.  I encourage you to speak these verses over your life and over your heart, and remember that you are loved by the most high God! No matter what is happening on this earth, you can always find peace and comfort knowing that He is in control. 

 

God understands what you are going through and cares about your pain. 

“I will be glad and rejoice in Your unfailing love, for You have seen my troubles, and You care about the anguish of my soul.”

PSALM 31:7

 

God has a plan and purpose for your life. 

”’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

JEREMIAH 29:11

 

Any fear or anxiety you have, you don’t have to hold on to – give it to the Lord. 

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

1 PETER 5:6-7 

 

God rejoices over you with singing. 

“The Lord your God is in your midst — a warrior bringing victory. He will create calm with his love; he will rejoice over you with singing.” 

ZEPHANIAH 3:17

 

Nothing can separate you from God’s love. 

“I’m convinced that nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ Jesus our Lord: not death or life, not angels or rulers, not present things or future things, not powers or height or depth, or any other thing that is created.”

ROMANS 8:38-39

 

This Earth may not bring peace or stability, but God does. 

“’The mountains may shift, and the hills may be shaken, but my faithful love won’t shift from you, and my covenant of peace won’t be shaken,’ says the Lord, the one who pities you.” 

ISAIAH 54:10

 

God’s love for you is so much it can be hard to even comprehend. 

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”

EPHESIANS 3:18-19

 

God is the King, but He is also your friend. 

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”

JOHN 15:15

 

God’s love and grace is new every morning, He doesn’t hold your past against you.  

“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23

 

God is love. (Input God into anyplace love is in this verse) 

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-7

 

You can go to Jesus with anything you’re struggling with.  

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” 

HEBREWS 4:14-16

 

God made you and you are wonderfully made. 

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

PSALM 139:13-16 

 

God knows you fully and loves you. 

“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord, know it completely.”

PSALM 139:1-4

 

The ultimate example of God’s love is sending His one and only Son, Jesus, down to Earth to be sacrificed and raised again on the third day so that we can spend eternity with God. 

“This is how the love of God is revealed to us: God has sent his only Son into the world so that we can live through him. This is love: it is not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son as the sacrifice that deals with our sins.”

1 JOHN 4:9-10
